Day 1: Fes

On the first day of the Fes desert tour, we will be a guide who will meet you and drive you in a 4×4  to try Moroccan cuisine at a local restaurant in Fez. It is the most prominent imperial city in Morocco established by Idriss 1 in the 11th century. Fez is the religious and cultural capital of Morocco. Fez is also one of the largest Arabic cities. This very ancient city has many interesting sites and places to visit such as Madrassa, Souks, El Kraouine (the first established university in the world), squares and craftsmen.

Your accommodation will be at a riad in Fez.

Day 2: Fes & Merzouga

Having breakfast is followed by traveling through the Middles Atlas Mountains appreciating the fascinating landscapes and views. On our way, we’ll stop at Ifrane (Switzerland of Morocco) and cross the largest wood in Morocco. It is Cedar Forest. During the day, we travel through Errachidia, where the a massive number of palm trees, before we reach Erfoud. In Erfoud, you’ll be guided to visit the interesting fossil work-shops.  After arriving at Merzouga, we will head to camp in the Sahara desert where you enjoy a nice supper stay for the rest of the night.

4×4 Sahara Desert Adventure!

Day 3: Merzouga

Today’s plan for the Fes desert tour will explore the magic sand dunes of Erg Chebbi driving our 4×4. Erg Chebbi is the largest Sahara in Morocco. During our journey, we will visit Khamilia village where many houses are inhabited. It is far from the civilized areas. You will ride camelback heading to camp in the core of the Sahara desert. In a nomad tent, you will stay in the night enjoying a supper under the clear sky with endless stars.

It is an amazing adventure the Merzouga’s Sahara desert.

Day 4: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley & Ouarzazate

Rissani is our next destination after breakfast. Old Sijilmassa in Rissani is famous for it was a place where caravans from the Sahara used to meet. We’ll head to Tinghir’s desert spring which an amazing place to visit. On our journey, we will cross the wonderful Todra River where we will have the chance to visit the Road of Thousand Kasbahs before we arrive at Ouarzazate. The Hollywood of Africa as Ouarzazate is nicknamed has served as a location to film many movies including Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, and the Mumy. The following place will be the Kasbah of Tourirt. The accommodation will be at a Riad.

Day 5: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou & Marrakech

Accompanied by our professional Morocco Safaris guide, you will be driven to Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou which is the most breathtaking Kasbah in Morocco with its mysterious architecture. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Before we continue the tour traveling through the highest pass in Morocco Tiziz N’Tichka, we will visit Kasbah of Telouet. Tizi NiTichka pass is 2260 meters high over the High Atlas Mountains.

After we arrive in Marrakech, you will stay overnight at a hotel.

Explore the UNESCO World Heritage.

Day 6: Marrakech city excursion

On the sixth day and the last day of your guided trip on the Fes desert tour, you will explore some interesting sites of the Red City.  On your journey, you will visit Menara, the Kasbah, the Saadian Tombs that return to the 17th century, the Bahia Palace (a 19th-century monument) and Koutoubia (one of the largest mosques in Morocco which was built in 12th-century). Continuing to explore the city more deeply, you will visit Majorelle Gardens, which was created by a French artist in 1923, and the souks (authentic markets). Visiting Jamma El Fnaa is a part of today’s program. You’ll stroll through its new streets and boulevards. While exploring the large square of Jamaa El Fnaa, you will notice that is a place full of life. This square is shared by artists, craftsmen, storytellers, and snake charmers. That makes this square a purely entertaining and cultural place shared by local and foreign people.

The night will be at a traditional riad.

Visit the Majorelle Gardens.

Day 7: Marrakech to Airport

End of the Fes desert tour. Before it’s time to transfer you to the airport, the day will be yours to do whatever you wish.
