Tangier Desert tour & Marrakech in 6 Days!

Day 1: Tangier – Chefchaouen & Fes

On the first day of the Tangier desert tour, we will be driving through the Rif Mountains after a warm welcome at the port. On the way, you will appreciate the breathtaking landscapes before you arrive at Chechouen. After we finish exploring the chefchouen which has a very Spanish style with a combination of colors, craft stores, restaurants, and cafés, you will proceed with the tour heading to Fez where you spend the night at a riad.

Day 2: Exploring Fes – Ifrane – Middle Atlas Mountains & Midelt

Having breakfast is followed by Fes medina. Fes has been the capital of Morocco for more than 350 years and home to the University of Al Karaouine, the first established university in the whole world according to Guinness record, UNESCO, and many other scholars.  You will be guided to visit Moulay Idriss, the Nejjarine Fountains, and the Tanneries. Besides, we will continue driving south to Ifrane and Azrou through the Middle Atlas Mountain. At last, we will visit Midelt where we will spend the overnight. Dinner is served at your accommodation.

Day 3: Midelt- Rissani- Merzouga Desert & Camel Trek

We will continue our Tangier desert tour by traveling through the Tizi Ntalghamt pass and along the stunning Ziz Gorges through volcanic rock. Along these wonderful landscapes, you’ll see the amazing views of the High Atlas Mountains and the changing perspective showing the sandy desert tracks as we arrive at Errachidia. By then we will proceed through the Ziz Valley to Erfoud, Rissani and Merzouga. After reaching Merzouga, we will be welcomed with a glass of mint tea before you ride a camel to admire the unique sunset over the highest dunes in Morocco.

Day 4: Merzouga Desert – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley & Ouarzazate

In the early morning, you will get up to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the sand dunes of the Sahara Desert. We will go back to Merzouga’s town where we have breakfast and take shower before we head to visit Rissani, Tinghir, and Todra Gorges. After arriving at the Hollywood of Africa (Ouarzazate), we will check-in to a riad where dinner and breakfast will be served.

Day 5: Ouarzazate – Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou & Marrakech

On the fifth day of the Tangier desert tour, we will leave Ouarzazate after having breakfast, we will drive to visit Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. It is a UNESCO World Heritage and the largest Kasbah in Morocco. On our way back to Marrakech, we will travel through Tizi N’Tichka pass (2260 meters high over the High Atlas). During our journey, we will stop to explore the argan oil cooperative. At the heart of the amazing mountains, lunch will be served.  You will visit the well-known square Jemaa El Fnaa after reaching your destination, Marrakech where you will spend the overnight at a Riad.

Day 6: Drive to the airport
